I spent the past 2 months working on a real-time car sharing app for GPRTu of Ghana. The app is to enable their customers to request for rides online. After finishing the user interface design of the app, they contrcted me to design a prototype for their main website. I enjoyed working on this product from the ground up.
Having brainstorming ideas gave me the direction to start. The goal was to have an intuitive design, for their majority of their customers are in the early stages of transition to the internet. Putting ideas and illustrations give me the freedom to explore options.
I did a user testing by using paper prototype. It helped to know how people interacted with the interface. This also saved me time and cost by having recognized what they need by developing the prototypes. Participants provided feedbacks on error-prevention methods, accessibility, and discoverability of the UI.
with the ideas and and the sense of the direction I want to take, I deployed it on the computer by using Adobe Xd to create a wireframe. I created the a low fidelity wireframe. By sharing it to the client they were able to comment on the layout.
Using After effects, I tested out different types of transition. With some external and internal design critique, I settled on an interaction that is simple with an ease in effect.
